Student Life
Small campus vibes,
big city perks
We offer the ultimate collegiate experience with 200+ student organizations, in a metropolitan environment with thousands of connection points to the real world.
Take a bite out of life, Bulldog-style.
Where will I live? What will I eat? What will I do between classes and assignments? How will I stay healthy in the process? If you’re asking these questions—that’s great. You’re thinking about the right things—and you’ve come to the right place to find answers.
Living in Indy
We’re in the heart of a thriving metropolis. And as a Butler student, you can take every advantage of that. From festivals to the Colts to the Indianapolis 500—and even gondola rides down the Indiana Central Canal—you’ll have one of the Midwest’s most vibrant cities to explore every weekend.
Fraternity and Sorority Life
For Butler Bulldogs, fraternity and sorority life is more than wearing ancient letters—it’s about serving the community and making a difference in people’s lives. Nearly thirty percent of Butler students participate in the system, building lasting relationships, developing skills as leaders, and organizing fundraisers that benefit local nonprofits.
Campus Safety
Butler prides itself on being a safe campus where everyone looks out for one another. Our Department of Public Safety is committed to keeping it that way by providing emergency response, crime prevention programs, transportation services, and more to make our environment safer for all.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Being comfortable and your authentic self is essential toward your Butler experience. A key proponent of diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus is the Efroymson Diversity Center. It is a space made for all students and houses multiple student-run organizations promoting social and cultural autonomy.
